The NSW Heritage Forum is an industry event hosted by us and supported by the Heritage Council of NSW.
Our top priority is the health and wellbeing of all event attendees and our staff. Therefore, the Forum has been deferred due to recommended restrictions on organised gatherings.
We are taking on board the valuable feedback given after the last forum and are exploring new ways of engaging with the industry on a range of important updates and heritage issues.
We look forward to facilitating new discussions, new ideas and practical solutions that promote best practice and support the industry.

About the Heritage Forum
Our Forum showcases a series of engaging presentations from heritage leaders, thought-provoking discussions and site visits designed to enhance best practice and to support heritage advisors, and local government planners and managers. Topics include current issues impacting the future of heritage and the event provides a platform of constructive dialogue between local government and heritage advisors, planners, managers, partner agencies and industry experts.
The last NSW Heritage Forum, was held at Sydney’s Beta Bar – a grand heritage-listed 1877 building which was the old Australian Worker's Union. Highlights included Glenda Chalker, Chair of Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Advisory Committee (ACHAC) who outlined key priorities and recommendations for the future Aboriginal Cultural Heritage and Frank Howarth, Chair of the NSW Heritage Council who outlined the Council’s Strategic Focus Areas for 2019 – 2022.
Previous forums have included lively and interactive Q&A panels discussions and site visits led by our agency partners. Guest speakers provided new industry insights, suggested actions, practical solutions and key priorities for the coming years.
