Festival of the Olive
|
A Weekend Food Festival at Elizabeth Farm, including the fruits of the
olive tree, alfresco dining and music and dance of the Mediterranean
region. Many of us think of the olive as part of Australia's recent
multicultural history but it is also a well-hidden secret of our colonial
past. The oldest olive tree in the country - planted at Elizabeth Farm by
John Macarthur in 1805 - is the inspiration for this celebration.
