Chaired by Gerard Reinmuth of Reinmuth Blythe Balmforth Architects
Sydney Harbour characterises the city's unique and captivating beauty - a space rich in recreational, cultural and heritage significance. However, the reality of living in Sydney today is that many residents live some distance from the harbour and have little or no interaction with this major waterway. This debate questions the role of the harbour for Sydneysiders. Do we need it? Do we use it? Speakers include: Geoff Bailey (CEO, Sydney Federation Harbour Trust), John MacDonald (writer & curator) and Prof. James Weirick (landscape architect). Bookings essential.

Community Heritage Grants provide financial support (up to $8,000) for preservation projects undertaken by community organisations such as local historical societies, public libraries, indigenous and ethnic groups which hold documentary heritage collections of significance.

Additions to Architectural History
XIXth annual conference of the Society of Architectural Historians Australia and New Zealand.
What are the issues and themes that we add to architecture in talking about it? Are these the points at which the discipline engages with a world from which it is autonomous, or the places where we need supplementation and assistance? Are these the partnerships with other kinds of thought and practice, or the unstable borders of a voracious interdisciplinarity?
