Statement of Significance	Bondi Junction underground railway and station is significant as a representative of the latest major railway construction undertaken in the State on the long awaited eastern suburbs railway. The whole of the site is underground and is a development of the structures built in the city in the 1930's and represents the latest in technology at that point in time. Note: There are incomplete details for a number of items listed in NSW. The Heritage Branch intends to develop or upgrade statements of significance and other information for these items as resources become available.
