Natural landscape feature with historic, natural, aesthetic, archaeological and geological significance. Considerable scenic importance with extensive views of ocean and Sydney's most famous beach. Historic defence role as site of former fort. Regional significance.

| Physical Description: |
Sandstone rocky foreshore of North Bondi, extending about 1km to cliff at Ben Buckler. Small sections of parkland above. Recently improved with sympathetic indigenous planting. Banksia, Tea tree, etc. Extensive, expansive views out to sea, to the southern headlands, and to horseshoe shaped Bondi bay. Ben Buckler, with its rock platform, has been a popular site for geological field excursions. Noted in the book, "Field Geology of NSW", by Branagan and Packham. Site of fort in the 1880's. |
