| Physical Description: |
Small urban park displaying layout and planting from the period 1950-65. Prominent location of child care and baby health amenity buildings divide park into two areas. Buildings common for this early Post-War period. Two large Coral trees, to 12m. Typical species of the period. Traditional Council post and rail fence. Rotary playground with monumental entrance feature. Red textured brick with concrete lintel. Play equipment (some items from c. 1960) set in circular and square areas of compacted dolerite earth. Confined by concrete edging. Two Hills figs to 9m, from c. 1965. |
