Statement of Significance

Single storey example of the Late Victorian "Boom Style", with many features of individual interest. Useful streetscape building on corner site, complementing No. 2 opposite. Local significance.

Description
Construction Years: 1890 - 1915
Physical Description: Good 1890's style house. Single storey with parapet. Slightly asymmetrical design with small verandah between end projections. Bay on one projection only. Other projection comes right to street alignment. Elaborately decorated with stucco and statuary. Many minor alterations, including doors, grilles and fence. Also seems to have lost some detail on section built to street. Small extension on this side reasonably unobtrusive.

Historical Notes: First appears in Sands Directory in 1896. Possibly built earlier.
