| Statement of Significance |
Excellent Late Federation symmetrical style. Essentially unaltered. Part of important grouping which includes the church, schools, convent and Scarba House. Local significance.

| Physical Description: |
Good symmetrical style Late Federation house, probably c. 1920. Minor alterations only, including security grilles, verandah floor, and removal of fence. Two strapwork gables with pebbledash panels (bricks now painted). Main roof tiled with terra cotta ridge capping. Skillion corrugated iron verandah. Paired turned timber posts above brick piers. Carved brackets with spindle valence. Casement windows with small coloured glass panes. Face brick with dark string course at sill height. Stone foundation. |

| Historical Notes: |
Former residence acquired for expansion of the public school. This is probably the land acquired in 1927. Converted into a domestic science block in 1931. Now used by the Education Department as office accommodation. (Source: Dowd, pp. 197-199). |
