| Statement of Significance |
Unique, picturesque, stone buildings, virtually intact. Outstanding streetscape contribution, attractively set on the boundary of Waverley Cemetery. Considerable social, historical and aesthetic interest. High local significance.

| Physical Description: |
Two magnificent stone buildings linked by the boundary wall of Waverley Cemetery. One a waiting room (closest to entry gates). The other is a domestic design. Gothic derived styling with steep pitched gabled roofs. Rusticated stone. Terra cotta tiled roofs with exposed rafter eaves. Most openings in rounded arch form. Very little decorative detail. Waiting room building also features buttressing and side parapet gable. |

| Historical Notes: |
Cemetery was opened in 1877. Cemetery lodge was built the following year by R Watkins. The waiting room and entry gates followed a few years later. (Dowd, pp. 172-3). |
