Statement of Significance

Good example of a Federation bungalow, a Federation transitional style anticipating the standard Bungalow forms of the 1920's. Intact except for minor alterations. One of the best surviving examples in the Waverley Council area (together with No. 63 Alt Street and No. 192 Denison Street). Local significance.

Description
Construction Years: 1890 - 1915
Physical Description: Good transitional style Federation bungalow, c. 1915. Dichromatic tuckpointed face brick. Terra cotta tiled roof, including hipped roof to verandah. Decorative roughcast to gables with very good timber brackets. Good timber verandah, now partly enclosed. Lattice to fence is recent but sympathetic. Security bars to windows, possibly reglazed.

Current Use: Dwelling house.
Former Use: Dwelling house.

History
Historical Notes: First appears in Sands Directory in 1912. Occupied by William Chisolm and known as "Lamancha".
