Corporate Publications

When conducting our business the Heritage Council and the Heritage Branch aim to demonstrate high levels of integrity and accountability. On this page you will find the key documents that structure and guide our work.

The Heritage Council of NSW is a statutory body established under the Heritage Act. It provides advice to the Minister for Planning, and guides the work of the Heritage Branch of the NSW Department of Planning, the state government agency responsible for heritage in NSW. The Heritage Branch's primary role is to administer the Heritage Act 1977 and ensure that the NSW government's heritage policy is carried out effectively.
